COVID-19

In order to prioritise your safety, as well as our team’s, we have made changes in line with government guidelines.

The following adjustments are a result of extensive consultation with health and safety advisors as well as advice from Government and our trade association, UK Hospitality. Click here to view our risk assessment.

Bar

Our bar is currently operating with reduced opening hours. We have altered our table plan and created a one way system in order to adhere to the Government’s one meter plus rule. There are hand sanitiser stations in various locations around the pub. Please remember to wash your hands regularly.

When entering the pub please go directly to your table, our bar will operate with table service only. Each person must be seated; there should be no standing at the bar. Customers are encouraged to use card payments.

Please do not arrange to meet up with more than one household whilst visiting the pub, our staff may ask you to clarify personal details. Children must remain with you at the table at all times.

Hotel

Please be aware that we are currently offering limited services:

  • A full English breakfast or continental option will be served at the table.
  • Three course sample dinner menu available (from Wednesday – Saturday). Dinner must be pre-booked at the time of booking.
  • To reduce contact during your stay, housekeeping will not attend to your room unless requested.

Hotel bookings can be made here.

Restaurant

Our restaurant is open in the evening to residents from Wednesday to Saturday, find out more. Our restaurant will begin a Sunday lunch service to the public from 4th October  offering our famous two or three course Sunday lunch menu. Due to COVID-19, guests will be given a two hour time slot at their table. Please call us to book your table at your earliest convenience and advise any dietary requirements.

Our team have completed COVID-19 training and are aware of the measures they are required to take to operate safely. Social distancing will be adhered by staff at all times. Some staff may wear PPE (this is not compulsory but an individual choice) and strict cleaning schedules will be in place.

We can’t wait to see you and are so happy to be back at the heart of our community. See you soon!
